King of Kings Lutheran
Choir and Special Music
Sing unto the Lord with a joyful song!!! King of Kings choir welcomes all voices, all you need to bring is a willing heart. We perform a wide range of music from classical, to gospel and modern.
The Choir provides
anthems of celebration/praise/prayer during the Service.
The Choir serves from late August through early June. In addition to regular services the
Choir also serves at funerals, and special music programs for King of Kings, such as fund
raisers for Habitat for Humanity and King of Kings. We also serve as ambassadors to the
community through participation in the annual Gospel Fest or special Interdenominational
services.
We bring together the talents of our members in voice and instrument, to raise a Joyful
Noise Onto the Lord. Our goal is to provide another form of prayer and praise during the
Service, and to touch the congregation with song. In addition, members seek to explore
their talents and raise them in service to our congregation, community and God.
Choir performs regularly at the 10:45 service and occasionally at the 8:15 service, from late August through early June.
Rehearsals are each Wednesday evening 7-8pm from September to June.
On the 3rd Saturday of each month, we hold a Choir Party for an in-depth rehearsal meeting at a member's home usually from 5:30-9:00pm. Childcare is provided at Choir parties when requested, and non-singing spouses/friends are always welcome.
King of Kings Choir also presents special music at Christmas and Easter.
Special Music:
King of Kings has a Special Music Sunday each month, usually the 3rd Sunday of the month. This usually includes members playing violin, flute, or some other special instrument. Members of King of Kings are always welcome to provide musical talents as well as singing.
Musicians on all kinds of instruments are welcome during any service. Please contact the church if you would like to volunteer to play or help in accompanying.Contacts:
