King of Kings Lutheran
Men’s Ministry
Men’s Retreat coming in February
By Steve McNutt
King of Kings will be joining Zion and Trinity Lutheran Churches at their Annual Men’s retreat. The retreat will be held February 2-4, 2007 at the Weber Conference Center in Adrian, MI, a 30-40 minute drive from King of Kings The retreat begins on Friday night and ends Sunday morning. This enables the men to go to their later service and enjoy Sunday afternoon. This year’s retreat will be led by Gary Herion from Hartwick College, NY. Gary received his PhD of Biblical Studies at U of M. Gary gave the retreat in 2005; it was so successful that he has been asked back again this year. Cost is $150 per person and includes single room, private bath, and meals for Saturday and Sunday. To sign up or for more information, please contact Steve McNutt or Tom McFadden. Let’s go, learn and have an enjoyable weekend at the Web Center!!!
Men's Bible Study
King of Kings' Men's Ministry is in the second year of a monthly Bible Study - come and join in on the discussion. Absolutely no experience necessary. We meet at King of Kings, at 7:30 p.m. on the 4th Thursday of each month (except December).
Please, as you read through these chapters/passages, take some notes that you can bring to the meeting and use for discussion. Some suggested questions to answer in your notes are:
1. What words or images strike you or stand out from the reading?
2. What is God saying to you through this reading?
3. What is God asking you to do through this reading?
and/or, try the Ignatian method...
Put yourself in the story. Select a character and put yourself in their place...what sights, smells, sounds, emotions do you experience?
We hope to see you there. Please share this with anyone else you know.
